1) Psychic perception isn’t a cookie cutter experience from person to person. Even in my own family, people have methods of perception. The interesting part is how those varied experiences often lead to extremely similar conclusions.
2) Ex: When I touch natural objects the first thing I notice is “energy” a surge that gets my attention. I live with a family member, however, whose first impression is always temperature, hot, warm, cold.
3) The energy I feel usually has an emotional experience with it and then I’ll see images or hear words, phrases and may see a spirit if there’s one relevant to the item. With people I’ll often see colors that have meanings.
4) Clarisentience has always been my strongest first impression. That’s what people these days seem to call being an “empath” or “feeling” psychic data. I use a variety of psychic senses but that one is very strong and immediate for me, often.
5) The family member who feels the temperatures? They’re very claircognizant — one of those folks who just “knows” stuff. I do that sometimes too but it’s not my immediate strongest skill. It seems to grow over time though.
6) My point is that there’s a lot of ways humans can experience psychic data and even in a family people can have varied and quite divergent experiences. Emotions are the same way and being able to feel other people’s emotions has made that very clear to me.
7) Don’t compare your own intuitive experiences to those of other people, for the purpose of dismissing your own. Comparison can be great for learning and understanding but your perception doesn’t have to be like anyone else’s.
8) If everyone in your reiki class sees colors and you don’t? It’s fine. You feel sensations instead? That’s not wrong. It just how your tools work.
9) I rarely meet people whose intuitive experiences are quite like mine. Sometimes it’s a lonely feeling, actually, but it makes it that much more fun when I meet people I share similarities with.
10) Laughing now about what I said about natural objects because it’s not just natural ones it’s any objects. And man made objects can be just as energetically fascinating as natural ones. I have a plastic bread clip in my bone set because it has amazing energy
Anyway...
