Soooo it started off like this....
It’s Sunday, November 22nd. I am in Los Angeles getting ready to face the Chargers. I’m about to head downstairs, in our team hotel, to take my daily Covid test (Everyday since Mid-July). My phone rings....

It’s my Wife: “My water broke”, she says. My Wife, being the Coach she is (Yup, house full of coaches), had us go through this EXACT scenario, several times over the past 9 months. So per our practices, I called Adam Gase and said “Erin just called me and said her water broke”.
Without hesistation he responded, “See ya. Call me when you land”. After getting off the phone with him, I immediately start looking for flights back to NY. 5 minutes later I get a phone call from our Ops guy and said everything has been taken care
of (1st Class Ticket & Driver to and from airport/hospital). I didn’t have time to shed a tear but I would have because that meant that world to me! Nothing but absolute respect for everyone at 1 Jets Drive. Back to the story,
I had to pack and get to the LAX and get through Security in 90 minutes! Still not fully dilated. Whew!!! LFG!!!!! After a lot of running and sweating, I made it! Now for the LONGEST flight of my life!!! Lord knows the thoughts that were running through my head.
I was getting updates of my wife’s concentrations via text message (the airplane WiFi actually worked this time). Landed at JFK Airport and ran the FASTEST as I ever have in my life to baggage claim. Still not fully dilated. Hop in the with Driver and we B-Line it to the hospital
Still not fully dilated. After verifying who I was and showing them EVERY Covid test I’ve taken everyday since Mid-July, I was allowed to see my Wife. After a LONG day, I made it just in time to witness the most remarkable thing in my life.....
