Recently, after mentioning that my childhood neighbor just died of COVID, I was told that COVID is "bullshit" because the hospitals are marking "everything" as COVID, including car accidents.

Trump's downplaying of COVID for political gain has led to a celebration of mocking experts, which has led to the idea that *not* wearing a mask is a badge of honor instead of the reality of just being a douchebag to those around you.

Then I was around otherwise smart people talking about how the election was stolen, repeating the repeatedly debunked claims of ballots being "found overnight," massive mail-in ballot fraud, etc.
They will *only* listen to sources that confirm their bias, and facts don't matter.

There are *millions* of people who not only believe the election was stolen, but believe that Trump would be right to do something to stop Biden from taking over.
These are not "random" nutjobs, and they are being encouraged and enabled by Trump and way too many Republicans.

I don't care that Trump hasn't been able to steal the election - that he would do it without a second thought if he could should have raised alarms within the GOP seven weeks ago.
