I don't know who needs to hear this, but if the big steel bolt on your Kitchenaid stand mixer is wiggling out because we've all been baking like whoa for a year, flip it over. There's a set screw underneath that you can tighten to lock it back in place.

Critical Update! If the grease in your KitchenAid stand mixer is black and so dense that it holds the imprint of your serial number, it's time to change.

Well, that certainly makes a world of difference. The old grease had the consistency of jello, fyi.
And we're back in action and parked in the appliance garage. Ready for another ten years of uninterrupted use.
