Keep thinking about how Australia is opened up with full crowds at sporting events and never had more than 1,000 new cases per day and over here the discourse is “Well only 300ish worthwhile people died out of the 60,000+ deaths if anything we’ve over-reacted”
It’s almost like a different set of well-enacted policies can control the spread of the disease and protect your economy and we can actually see examples of countries who had done this, but what do I know?
I guess Australia and New Zealand have the totally unique and unrepeatable advantage of being islands 🤔
I mean we couldn’t have done what Australia and New Zealand have done, or learn from them, because they are so *checks notes* culturally alien to us etc etc
