Wow! Just seen the newly excavated murals at @pompeii_sites đŸ€ŻđŸ€©

Supposedly representing food stuffs! Sounds about right if you take a closer l👀k. Under each mural is a hole, so, isn't it likely these served as whatever was holding the foodstuff? For example... 1/4
From right to left on the mural;

A dog - possibly for protection of owner, from pests to robbers.

A cockrel - just like we eat chicken today.

Geese - we eat goose, we wrap our xmas tatties in its fats.

Vegetation - plant matter on the corner mural could suggest herbs...đŸ€”
Also, take a closer look at the frame on the dog mural... there appears to be what looks like latin graffiti!
From left to right;

Fish - a staple of the Mediterranean diet ancient AND modern.

Mythical creature accompanying a God or Goddess - I'm gonna take a guess and say it's the God Apollo.

More fish/crustaceans
Left fo right;

We have amphorae 😍. Perhaps thete was wine available đŸ€”.

Vegetation - perhaps symbolising variety of herbs available.

However, seeing as we may have the God Apollo present I'm going take a guess and say there was medicine available too. Foodie medicine 😁
I could have added more to each tweet but not enough characters 😳.

I think that each of the murals represent what was being consumed because lots of the Roman world must've had a wide range of languages spoken.
Also, the dog mural (I think) has a "Beware of the dog" aspect to it. When you look at its snarling teeth, this dog was not friendly. It also reminds me of 'Dinner with Trimalchio' and the apparent warning his invited guests were met with upon arrival.
The Satyricon, written by Petronius talks in his chapter - Dinner with Trimalchio - about the gluttonous nature of, the very wealthy merchants ostentatious and tasteless behaviour at dinner parties. Many frescoes have been uncovered that has depictions of Trimalchios dinner party
