This winter, we've seen sparks of public acknowledgement that knee-jerk pivots away from pre-2020 epi/med/public health principles were very costly mistakes.

And we ignored what we knew b/c some thought it was justified due to uncertainty...

The problem is that these policy errors persist & they persist b/c the public has been conditioned by fear.

Fear-based public health messaging erodes trust and is incredibly difficult to reverse.

What we need going into 2021 is more understanding.

Less fear.
