a lot of us complain about the lack of innovation in public sector, in nonprofit sector...& we wonder why these leaders are less willing to experiment, to fail on the way to success, when we lambast them for a road taking 2yrs longer than originally planned, 1/
or for while attempting to innovate, to do what no other cities have done, we are unforgiving of missteps along the way. We're lucky our investors know to fail is Fast-Applied-Iterative-Learning . . . that success in innovation requires experimenting, correcting ourselves 2/
& trying again. In 2021, I'm pledging to take this perspective with my nonprofit and public investments as well - to reward, rather than disincentivize, innovation. 3/3
