In 2009, I saw AVATAR in theaters and immediately became obsessed. I loved the characters, the lore, literally everything about it.
I saw it multiple times and felt pure happiness every single time.

However, every single friend of mine took absolute glee in shitting on the movie. “Ferngully in space” was a common phrase. “Okay but you don’t...REALLY love it right?” was another big one.
And because of this, my perception was forever changed.

11 years later, I still can’t turn on what was quite literally my favorite movie without remembering that maybe I’m stupid for not disliking it.
