the problem isn’t even that some don’t like wifexian content bc obviously it doesn’t matter what other people like/don’t like… it’s that a few of them think it’s ok to look down on ppl who DO enjoy this content or say that it’s not right (especially since it is literally canon!)
ugh dangling modifiers what i mean is that some say that calling wwx a wife is erasure bc lwj is a gay man. first of all fanfiction is exactly that. FAN. FICTION. ppl can write whatever they like!!!! plus being a gay man and enjoying feminisation aren’t mutually exclusive !!
this is another case of non-chinese fans disregarding the context of mdzs as a work of chinese fiction. referring to a same sex couple as ‘husband and wife’ is a common danmei trope! but since im also not chinese i won’t speak anymore abt this and i’ll link some other threads
