She's an incredibly strong waterbender, able to defeat waterbending masters skilled at their craft. Almost defeating an experienced waterbender. Out bloodbending Hama, who invented it. Defeating Azula, a firebender prodigy during Sozin's comet.
As powerful as she is, the thing that's admirable about her is that she chooses to use her powers for good.
The fact that she's so kind, compassionate, and forgiving. The fact that she's still willing to take care of the gaang even though they don't appreciate it sometimes.
Going undeecover as the painted lady, and still willing to help them even though they didn't appreciate her help after it was revealed that she wasn't the real painted lady? When she was willing to save a village that gave up hope on saving itself? How could you hate her?
I made this thread because I'm tired of some people reducing her as the side love interest. People saying that she isn't a good waterbender at all. Katara is so much more than that.
