So the UK got precious little on fish. And the EU can invoke major retaliation measures if the UK tries any funny business.

UK fishing will lose more than it gains once red tape/friction are factored in.

So well done chaps. What a complete waste of time that was.
SPS provisions look pretty bad too.
But then they weren't really going for gains; they were generally going for a limitation of losses, while carving out a few headlines (e.g. on tariffs/quotas and probably on LPF, as it turns out) to toss to the backbench knuckle draggers.

"Thin gruel", as Rees-Mogg might say.
This seems a fair summary https://twitter.com/faisalislam/status/1342758460295938048?s=20
And what's more, it is not actually over. The headbangers can agree to it now, wave a few flags so sticking it to the "libtards", then in 6 months time realise they hadn't read it properly (i.e. at all) and demand Johnson give 1 year's notice to terminate it.
Distrust of each other (esp the EU's distrust of the UK) definitely pops up in this agreement. You can see why the EU have been hard on a few things e.g. mutual recognition of conformity assessment. The headbangers will stomp about this but their approach has caused it.
Another view is this deal becomes just another Rorschach test in this whole saga: You'll see lots of "independence", withdrawals from EU schemes and the EU being an "evil empire"..... OR you'll just see loss, sometimes worse than necessary due to UK idiocy.

And so we continue.
Vote Leave will not accept they are wrong until comprehensively defeated. And even then, they won't.

It may need a complete change of the guard at Westminster - to people who were not overtly associated with 2016 - before we can begin to move on from this.
Anyway, back to fish..... https://twitter.com/StevePeers/status/1342883061315350528?s=20
