Depression is the feeling low all the time or most of the time. It can be persistent feeling of sadness and loss of interest. This thread will be full of things to help your depression. (I'm not a psychologist, I have been told or have researched and or have experienced myself)
Stay in touch
Don't withdraw from life. Socialising can improve your mood. Keeping in touch with friends and family means you have someone to talk to when you feel low. You can also talk to people on the phone or online.
Be more active
Take up some form of exercise. There's evidence that exercise can help lift your mood. If you haven't exercised for a while, start gently by walking for 20 minutes every day.
Have a routine
When people feel down, they can get into poor sleep patterns, staying up late and sleeping during the day. Try to get up at your normal time and stick to your routine as much as possible.
Sometimes people use medication but its better I think personally to use natural remedies to decrease the low moods.
If depression tends to make you overeat, getting in control of your eating will help you feel better.

Cook says there's evidence that foods with omega-3 fatty acids (such as salmon) and folic acid (such as spinach etc) could help ease depression.
Do something you love (It is hard and I know and understand but keeping your mind busy is one important thing)
Challenge negative thoughts. In your fight against depression, is a lot of work but changing how you think. When you're depressed, you leap to the worst possible conclusions. It takes practice, but in time you can beat back those negative thoughts before they get out of control
Check with your doctor before using supplements.
Talk to your therapist, councillor, psychologist.
Do something new. When you’re depressed, you’re in a rut. Push yourself to do something different. Go to a museum. Pick up a used book and read it on a park bench. Volunteer at a soup kitchen. Take a language class. (What I did was learn Indonesian)
Do something that YOU LOVE
If you want to add anything else, then comment underneath. I am not a psychologist but if you are feeling down tackle that or talk to someone.

If you want me to do another topic just DM me.
