on the dsmp materialism is important (tommy and his discs, sapnap and mars, dream and spirit - well sort of - etc) quackity has none of that so he can pretty much do what he wants with no strings attached. the only thing he has in el rapids but i don’t think 2/?
it matters that much to him. to me, i think el rapids is basically quackity creating a nation that HE can be in control of. recently, quackity’s been showing a power lust that has become very evident with the butcher army. 3/?
the butcher army is like a portal for quackity to become the leader in l’manberg because he’s got a higher power in the l’manberg army (butcher army). tubbo is answering to him and is kind of just the ‘pretty face’ for quackity to hide behind. 4/?
a pattern ive seen so far is that quackity won’t be upfront with his leadership. meaning, that he won’t be the one fully in charge when he gives out his orders. he’s hiding behind tubbo, he doesn’t one to be the one in peoples’ minds when things go wrong. 5/?
right now, tubbo is president but QUACKITY is pulling the strings. tubbo is quite passive and seems to want l’manberg to be peaceful and doesn’t want violence, but quackity has manage to to pull tubbo into agreeing to killing technoblade. 6/?
somehow quackity is getting tubbo to go against what he believes in to fight for what QUACKITY believes in. quackity has gained more power than tubbo. what also makes quackity so threatening and powerful is his way with words. 7/?
quackity has shown that he’s got a sharp tongue and is very persuasive. when giving his speech to technoblade before he attempted to kill him in the final control room, quackity kept using ‘we’ instead of ‘i’. he’s again using his words to make sure he doesn’t 8/?
seem like what’s he’s doing is for HIMSELF, he’s trying to make out he’s doing it for his NATIONS. but he’s not. quackity may look like he’s involved with el rapids and l’manberg but really he’s trying to climb to the top without any backlash. 9/?
adding onto this, another thing that contributes to his power is his ‘loyalty’ to his friends. quackity keeps his friends close and tries to stay on their good sides even if he’s technically against them. 10/?
when tommy was exiled, quackity sent him a private dm through chat saying how he was sorry but he couldn’t do anything about it. tommy forgave quackity a bit and mainly focused on being mad at tubbo and dream. 11/?
even when quackity has wronged a friend of his, tommy, tubbo, and more they still seem to forgive him and brush it off because he’s a ‘good guy.’ 12/13
in conclusion, i think quackity’s character isn’t a villain, but more of an antihero and that he’s going to be a big part in this season. 13/13
