Hope everyone had a great day yesterday

Birmingham traditionally wear white shorts, but could go for all blue to avoid a shorts clash.

But they’ve an annoying habit of wearing unnecessary kits at the CG and everywhere else this season

1 - 93/94

Freshly relegated to Div 1, and wearing our local Shipstones sponsor for a relatively low profile game

Birmingham in yellow with blue pinstripes

2 - 97/98

Few years later, and Birmingham continue playing in yellow

We recycled our kit from the prior year, despite having brand new sponsors Pinnacle on the front of the shirt

🟩 #NFFC 1-0 #BCFC

🔴⚪️🔴
3 - 99/00

Birmingham’s first choice shorts become blue, and so they stick with it at the City Ground

Quite a fan of their it here. Not sure if feel the same if Forest went for it, but I like it all the same

🟩 #NFFC 1-0 #BCFC

🔴⚪️🔴
4 - 00/01

And they’re back in yellow.

It does seem to be whenever their home kit has white shorts for the season. Instead of simply changing shorts, they’ve change their full kit

🟥 #NFFC 1-2 #BCFC

5 - 01/02

Birmingham finally find a pair of blue shorts to wear with their home kit, looking much better.

Strangely, we’re wearing the square Nationwide patches, despite them being an oval for this season, as seen in the background for Brum

6 - 08/09

After our League One stint, we’re back in the second tier with some modern looking kits

Both teams sporting the “raised” Umbro logo, and Birmingham going for white socks this season

🟨 #NFFC 1-1 #BCFC

🔴⚪️🔴
7 - 09/10 - FA Cup 3rd Round

Lots of white on Birmingham’s home kit, but still no need for them to go for their all black away kit.

I think our kit is pretty popular (?) but likely due to the success we had that season

🔴⚪️🔴
8 - 11/12

A much less successful kit and less popular as a result. First time since the 50s that striped socks are worn

B’ham had all blue as their first choice, so wore it for this game

The loss turned out to be McClaren’s final game as Forest boss

🟥 #NFFC 1-3 #BCFC

🔴⚪️🔴
9 - 12/13

All black with pink trim but again, no need since it would just be a shorts clash

Forest show off their final Umbro kit, a simple, low detail style, although the socks look pretty funky here

🟨 #NFFC 2-2 #BCFC

🔴⚪️🔴
10 - 13/14

And we’re still struggling to find Birmingham wearing their traditional blue at the City Ground

Yellow now doesn’t seem that strange since they wear it so often

🟩 #NFFC 1-0 #BCFC

🔴⚪️🔴
11 - 14/15

Birmingham finally find some blue shorts, which aren’t actually their first choice home shorts

It just looks so much better and it’s really no trouble to have some “Home Alternative” shorts

🟥 #NFFC 1-3 #BCFC

🔴⚪️🔴
12 - 15/16

Two in a row! Birmingham must have Carbrini to thank for introducing some alternative shorts, as they became suppliers a year earlier

Great sash on the Brum kit too. Never looks bad on a kit in my opinion

🟨 #NFFC 1-1 #BCFC

🔴⚪️🔴
13 - 16/17

888 sponsors collide with these boring Adidas templates

All blue was their first choice home, so no clash at all. Forest kit here is one of my least favourites

🟩 #NFFC 3-1 #BCFC

🔴⚪️🔴
14 - 17/18

Both our kits look reused, however we’re both in different templates, with ourselves showing some pinstripes on the front

🟩 #NFFC 2-1 #BCFC

🔴⚪️🔴
15 - 18/19

Back in yellow. Completely inexcusable since those shorts could have been worn with the blue home tops!

A good old kit mash up just doesn’t seem to happen as often now, with the fashion police taking over

🟨 #NFFC 2-2 #BCFC

🔴⚪️🔴
16 - 19/20

Early season win, with Dawson bagging a rare goal.

The Blues proving they’re capable of sticking to Blue

🟩 #NFFC 3-0 #BCFC

🔴⚪️🔴
Prediction

Out of 6 away games where #BCFC had no reason to change, they’ve only worn blue twice this season

Their away is red, which we of course won’t see, but their third strip is a horrible grass coloured green. Shouldn’t be allowed but fair chance we’ll see it today #NFFC
