Lads gonna do a different kind of thread, a prediction for how the decade will go for each big 6 club!
I will rank from least successful to most successful over the next decade in my opinion.
6th) Tottenham Hotspur
I feel as though Jose will get Spurs to 2nd or 3rd this season. Levy will get overconfident and refuse to back him next summer. They will have an awful start to the 21/22 campaign and Jose will be sacked. Ppl wil soonrealise the miracles Jose will have done to get 2nd this season
Managers will constantly be in and out of the door, with Son and Kane ageing, a pretty average youth system and I don’t see Levy investing billions, I see this as another trophy less decade for Tottenham Hotspur unless Jose wins something.
5th) Arsenal
This season, Arsenal will surely bounce back and finish 7th/8th. Arteta probably will stay. Kroenke won’t give Arteta the signings he needs and while I do see them winning a few FA Cups, I feel as though they won’t win anything significant.
I think later in the decade, they will challenge for the title at some points because they’re youth setup is quite good but I don’t think any league titles are coming to North London. I feel as though Arteta will stay 3/4 years before moving on.
4th) Manchester United
I think they will finish 4th or 5th this season. I think Ole will win Man Utd a Europa League at some point. However, I see Ole eventually getting the sack after a poor run of games. Regardless of who they bring in afterwards, I think they’ll win a few trophies.
They’ve got the 2nd best youth academy in the league so they’ll challenge and win atleast 1 league title over the next decade imo but they won’t come close to dominating the league. They’ll also win some other minor honours, league cups etc.
3rd) Liverpool
Liverpool fans, enjoy this moment of success while you can. I think Klopp will leave at the perfect time, at the end of his contract as a Fergie like figure, winning atleast 1 more league title, possibly another Champions League and Club World Cup.
After this, I think they’ll turn into United post 2013, all their best players will be in their 30s, their owners won’t invest in the club and their youth is pretty average. The team will become dependent on Trent who will leave to Real Madrid at some point.
I think Gerrard will take the Liverpool job within time, just hopefully not straight after Klopp because it will be a sinking ship and will ruin his managerial career. Hopefully he takes the job a few years after Klopp and rescues Liverpool. but yeah, no trophies post 2024.
2nd) Man City
They’ll start the decade off slowly, winning only league cups and smaller trophies. The sooner the shiekhs realise they have to sack Pep, the better. Pep is past his best at City and has to go. I think they’d take a world class manager to replace him
After Pep is sacked, they’ll perform major investment and win the league title atleast twice within the next decade, they’ll dominate the FA Cup and Carabao. They won’t win anything in Europe though, hence why I’m not putting them in 1st. They’ll defo sign Haaland btw
1st) Chelsea
I think Lampard will last the whole decade at Stamford Bridge and as this youthful side gets older, they’ll dominate everything. Mount, Werner, Havertz, James, Abraham, Odoi etc will all turn into world beaters. Chelsea will completely dominate the next decade.
I see Chelsea winning the treble 3 times and becoming the greatest side in world football over the next decade and stating London is Blue. No team in world football has as much power in youth as Chelsea. By the end of the decade, Lampard will be compared to SAF.
End of thread. Hope you guys enjoyed, please live a comment if you disagreed with anything or any of my points. Likes and retweets are appreciated
