The more I think about it the more I’m leaning towards him just being out of rhythm and trying to get guys going without Dray.

The missed open shots are really the only thing that’s annoying. His floor game has been elite, his defense has been good despite the teams defense being horrible, he’s still rebounding and playing physical inside, just not hunting shots on top of missing the easy ones he has

As far as getting to the rim, I think he’s probing a little too much, bc he’s seeing so many bodies now with the lack of true spacing, so guys are getting strips and poking at the ball. His handle is fine, he’s just playing in confined space now

They also haven’t had a chance to fast yet, bc they can’t get any stops 2-3 possessions in a row lol He thrives in chaos, but you need smarter players to find him in that chaos and you need to not consistently play against set defenses to create the chaos.

I do think however, he needs to lose some of the bulk. To preserve and regain his fluidity of movement, quickness, slipperiness through screens, change of direction, shot mechanics, etc, he has to remain light.
