That said, of course no one should be traveling right now unless absolutely necessary.. I haven’t been out of New York since March 
It was insane when my husband flew from NYC to Tokyo in Oct to work on an US TV series — he got a rapid Covid test just before, & basically wasn’t booked on a flight till abt 12hrs before departure. And as a freelancer he probably would have lost his job if he’d tested positive.
And of course he was tested again at Narita, then the production drove him straight to a serviced apt where staff made sure he didn’t set foot outside his room for 2 weeks. All meals were left outside his door. He could ask for groceries. There was a tiny balcony for fresh air.
And after that he was tested for Covid every three days, and by mid-December he started getting tests every day.. these guys don’t play around.
