A lot of noise about this #brexitdealdone as being a victory for one side or the other. It isn't THREAD
1/ Unless there is a sting in the tail it looks exactly like the Canada+ deal which was the only possible deal compatible with what most Brexit voters wanted:
Regulatory freedom
No EU Freedom of Movement
Control of fishing waters
Regulatory freedom
No EU Freedom of Movement

2/ it is also a deal which is in the mutual interests of both parties, particularly the EU as a net exporter to the UK with high levels of unemployment, fragile economies & seething resentment of the political class in many countries
3/ despite this, the EU did everything up to the last minute to keep the UK as closely aligned as possible. @DavidGHFrost held firm, but for the EU it was a fair deal or a deal in their favor, in neither scenario was it a loss for them
4/ the big loss, the abject humiliation, is for the UK Establishment, BBC & other Remoaner MSM, who obstinately claimed such a Canada+ deal was impossible until it happened, to their wailing disapproval
5/ of course, these 5th columnists made it easier for the EU to apply pressure, at the margin. Luckily the Brits didn't blink

7/ it creates a competitor on the EU's doorstep that will thrive thanks to its freedom from the NWO red tape micro-managing which is the EUrocrat's raison d'etre
8/ the deal shows it is possible to check out of the EU hotel California. As a European, my sincere hope is that more European countries follow suit & eventually that Europe will be free from the EU
