7 lessons from the classic book "Psychology of Persuasion"

These can be applied in almost all aspects of life

Thread 👇
1. Consistency/Commitment

Try your best to be consistent in what you do

Visualize big picture, break down into small goals, strive to achieve them & soon you will be there

Start small

If you're committed to small things, you will be ready to achieve big things later
2. Reciprocity

Offer something/work for free first

It's an instinct to return the favour if you offer something free thus include free stuff in your emails, pitch

If someone buy you lunch today, you will feel obligated to buy them lunch next time so the same apply for sales
3. Social Proof

Target for similar demographics or prospects

People tend to follow majority

Find a social media account that is in your target group

Check their followers, observe their profiles & activities & pitch your products to them
4. Authority

Recognition & authority are important in gaining your audience trust

Build your following on social media platforms like twitter, IG, FB, YT etc

Share valuable content to gain authority

5. Likability

If people like you, they will follow what you advise them & trust you

If people trust you, they will do business with you

6. Scarcity

Create urgency in your sales pitch like limited time offers, deadlines, pricing goes up soon

Scarcity gives potential prospects a push to pursue/sign up for your services

"Opportunities seem more valuable to us when their availability is limited"- Robert B Cialdini
7. Exclusivity

We all like to feel special & exclusive

It's in our nature

Include sentences like only you have this _____ , emphasize on unique offers/services to tap on your prospects emotion side and an urge to do some actions
