How refreshing, a sports mag saying eat WTF you want & exercise to make your heart & heart happy, not lose weight.
“We have lost sight of what we want, because we’re constantly being told what we should & shouldn’t eat, & how much exercise we should do.” https://www.runnersworld.com/uk/nutrition/diet/a776645/why-you-shouldnt-be-running-off-calories/?utm_campaign=likeshopme&utm_term=www.instagram.com/p/CJQOS7xDp8G/&utm_medium=social&utm_source=instagram&utm_content=post

FWIW, I really rate Runner’s World. They have sensible running plans for runners of all ages, body types & abilities, they champion a whole range of community running initiatives (e.g. groups for mental health, refugees, domestic violence, older people) & have excellent recipes!
If you’re interested in getting into running and want something to read that’s gently encouraging then it’s a good place to start.
And I promise the column called the Flamingo Diaries that’s written by a middle-aged woman from south London who runs really slowly and often finishes last in her races is not me. I wish it was, but it’s not!
