Apart from being bad at what they do, I feel Pakistani cricketers, coaches & in general, the people associated with on field decisions just lack a certain level of intelligence to make savvy decisions against the run of play.

4 days worth of cricket left so things might swing in our favor but seeing how our players navigate when dealing with the opposition, the fields they employ, how they react to certain situations, as minuscule as the words of encouragement & rationale the give each other, it just~
DOESN'T fill u with confidence on whether they can compete with the very best of the current era.
I have never professionally played cricket, I haven't even played much hard ball cricket but if a simpleton like me can assess that a 7-2 legside field is a bad decision for a leg~

spinner on day 1 of a boxing test, you would ideally think that players who have done this type of stuff for a living for years on end, would know better.
Actually it's not even about that 7-2 leg side field tbh, basic stuff like judging the bounce of the pitch after the 1st 3~

overs so that the slips & the keeper can readjust their positions behind the stumps, reading the dimensions of the ground & the pace at which it thuds into the gloves of Rizwan - Small things that can make a difference, We severely lack as a cricketing outfit.

we can't find intelligent cricketers, coaches; just intelligent human beings in Pakistan who can look at a situation & make judgement calls that are rooted in science rather than, 'Chance lay lo yeh Bara Player hay', or 'Williamson NZ ka Senior player hay'. I mean I don't want 2~
sound too rude, but these type of sentences basically show the level of intellect our players & coaches are at. We're just still clinging on non scientific, non data driven drivel that ends up making us lose game after game & then we turn 2 some villager who has X amounts of FC~
or Intl wickets to repeat the process over & over again.
Why can't we once sit down & get people who KNOW cricket. I am sorry but cricketers are only able to play cricket, & in Pakistan they haven't got a clue on how to understand the game that the International Teams~

cricket lack a GOD DAMN functioning brain & those that haven't aren't allowed to do anything whatsoever because, hey they haven't played cricket.
