I've always found the liberal imperialist case for more immigration rather interesting. The justification is that draining the rest of the world of its smart and capable youth via economic hegemony to maintain aforementioned hegemony is a good for America. The unsaid second order
effect of said socio-economic vampirism on the rest of the world is unvocalized. The imperial Metropole having cannibalized the vitality of its it's own demos has now resorted to feasting on the human tribute of its satrapies. It's curious how practically no one is willing to
attack immigration from the Left despite the ample ammunition that is just lieing on the ground to pick up. That the West's liberal immigration plot is a way to kneecap the underdeveloped world by stealing precious and even more rare human capital from the third world and prevent
social capital accumulation from forming their own respective national bourgeois, instead creating a global compradors class that serves foreign capitalists. This avenue of attack is invulnerable to charges of nativism and flips the table by taking advantage of the universalist
gospel of Liberal Imperialist "do gooders" that promulgate labor immigration. The case, a strong one I feel, can be made that such global economic centralization serves only to inflate asset valuations of capital owners in the immigration destination nations while depriving
everyone else of general welfare due to extracted rents outpacing productivity increases that such human capital concentration can produce, leaving everyone else worse off. Would be interesting to see immigration restrictionist persue this different method.
