A minority argument could be made that the family is Episcopalian, as evidenced by the fact the church at which the movie was filmed is an Episcopalian one.

Sed contra, it is unlikely that Episcopalians in the 1980s would have such a prolific family and so closely spaced.
Furthermore, Home Alone director Chris Columbus is Catholic. Actors Macaulay and Kieran Culkin (Kevin and Fuller), Catherine O’Hara (Kate), John Heard (Peter) and John Candy (Gus Polinski) were all raised Catholic. Ostensibly, Joe Pesci was as well.
