#US #COVID19 Some hospital metrics, as the HHS hospital data set update today. Here's % of patients in the hospital that are covid positive.
Inpatient Utilization per state. Hospitals typically run 70-90% utilization this time of year.
Hospital onset Covid patients. This the number of people who were in the hospital for 14 days for something else, but then acquired Covid while in the hospital. Whats up with OH?
ICU covid beds utilization. This is the percent of covid patients in the ICU in each state.
Finally, ICU total utilization. While things may be tight in LA county, California isnt even top 5 in the US. Its not abnormal for ICU's to be at 70-90% utilization during normal operation.
