Recipe for my Dream Spider-Man Cartoon.

A random list of elements for the Spidey cartoon I’ve always wanted to see.
Ingredient 1: Dynamic Sakuga Web Slinging

The kind of Sakuga you see with fast and dynamic camera movements that keep up the rush while taking in the scale. (Like AoT or Rise of TMNT)
Ingredient 2: Expressive and Sharp Art Style

I’m talking about a show with designs with recognizable silhouette and isn’t afraid to exaggerate
Ingredient 3: Mark Bagley or Patrick Gleason Inspired Look

My favorite Spidey pencilers Art-style would make for a great look for the Characters
Ingredient 4: Shonen Inspired, Bloodpumping Fight Scenes

Fight Scenes with strong Emotional Narrative (why fight?) and solid technical narrative (how do they fight?).

Lots of Shonen series have great arcs in their battles. Would love to see that.
Ingredient 5: Big Heart, Emotionally relatable

Something in similar vain as Teen Titans or My Hero Academia. A story that has you feel for the characters and gives them layers. So when they succeed or fail, you genuinely care
Ingredient 6: Give the audience small bits of Peter’s origin.

Much in Daredevil the Netflix series or even Cowboy Bebop, don’t tell us the full origin story with the first few episodes. Instead tie in small memories with Uncle Ben into the current narrative of an episode
Ingredient 7: Comic Book Style, and Color Swaps

Much like Spider-Verse or even Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure. Embrace it’s comic book origin with SFX text and color swapping
Ingredient 8: Rock and Roll Opening Theme Song

It could be a cover of the original 60s theme song or something original like Spectacular. As for how it sounds, I’d love for it to take inspiration from Green Day or MGMT.
Ingredient 8 (part 2): A laid back closing theme:

Similar to Ok Ko or Jojo’s, a song that puts the viewer at ease and make them go “as man, it’s over now”. Sounding similar to the Gorillaz or the Pillows
Ingredient 9: Talented Voice Cast:

Plenty of talent to pull from, both veteran and newcomers

Maybe they can continue the tradition of having a veteran Spider-Man man voice actor play Electro.
Ingredient 10: Do Normal fun stuff with Peter

Much like Sym Bionic Titan, Danny Phantom, or even “Spectacular”, give us fun episodes with Peter’s friends, job, or school. You can even be something as simple as going to the beach. Normal stuff is good too!

Character Building!
Ingredient 11: Not afraid to Pass the torch.

Take a note from Araki-Sensei

I’d say 3-4 Seasons would make for a solid Story Arc for Peter Parker.

Maybe have a Spider-Verse arc to properly send him off as a main character(I don’t mean kill ‘em off btw).
Ingredient 12: Let the Characters be themselves

Layered Characters should make up the story, not the other way around. That’s what makes Nick Spencer’s story so good!

It’s the inverse of that which made the Slott run so infuriating.

Araki is a master at this too
Ingredient 13: Serialized Stories, big finales

With every episode no matter how minor, tiny hints are given leading up to a big showdown, huge twist, stake changes, or whatever. It’s gotta resolve things like it’s gonna be the last episode but keep it open-ended for a follow up.
Ingredient 14: Don’t be afraid to re-invent Characters if needed

While it’s very important to stay true to a character, it is also important give them layers and flesh them out. It’s why Miles is so great in Spider-Verse compared to his first appearance in the comics.
Ingredient 15: Fan Service with a purpose

Take notes from Mandalorian Season 2. All those iconic moments like the Black Suit, Gwen Stacy’s death, Agent Venom, or whatever were great because they were earned.

IE: Don’t be like ASM2 and waste it just because it’s in the comics
Ingredient 16: Take what worked and apply it

Batman TAS is great because it’s a hodgepodge of the best parts of Batman. So if this show can pull from the best Spidey Comics, cartoons, movies, and games, while remixing it a bit, you’ll get something special.
And that is my rough recipe for my Dream Spider-Man Cartoon.
