A thread about not going to the cinema this year:
After almost a year without going to the cinema for the big screen experience, I realized how many inconveniences I've left behind
After almost a year without going to the cinema for the big screen experience, I realized how many inconveniences I've left behind
1) Sold out tickets and unable to watch something I'm excited for
2)coordinating with friends the number of tickets and their seating. "Oh there are 5 tickets on this row but 2 people have to sit far away" or "I'm still deciding if I'm gonna show up. Can I get back to you after?"

3) getting paid back for above mentionrd tickets, especially for that one friend that told u to buy their ticket but didn't show up so you have an extra seat for your popcorn
4) leaving tickets at the front cause someone late
5) rushing to get to the movie before u miss a scene

6) expensive (and limited) snacks and drinks.
7) lack of subtitles
8) the two people that are talking right behind you
9) the one person who is on their phone and you can't stop looking at their glare
10) the ads (trailers I'm fine with)

11) if you're confused about something you can't ask any questions at all so you just wait awkwardly till the end of the movie and wish you had understood a plot point so you can enjoy the movie better (any Nolan movie basically)
12) having any meal DURING the movie. Imagine LoTR but with Wara2 3enab (stuffed grape leaves). Also I want that sentence on a shirt
I'm sure there are many more things and I'm not saying movies should go away from the big screen. I just happened to think about it alot this year

What are your thoughts on the movie going experience? Has it changed because of this year? Do you think it can ever be replaced? Do you now want your home to be the main source of watching movies with the cinema being an option if you feel like going out?
