Exposing Harvey Weinstein's attorney Blair Berk for her role in Britney Spears' conservatorship and defending sexual predators - a #FreeBritney thread

TW: Sexual assault, child predators
Blair Berk is a celebrity defense attorney who is known for making stars' legal issues "disappear." Her entire brand is, as CNN put it, being able to "vaporize a celebrity's sticky legal situation before it goes viral." #FreeBritney
In 2017, at the height of the #MeToo movement, Blair joined Harvey Weinstein's legal team to defend him against allegations of misconduct by more than 80 women. #FreeBritney
Blair Berk went so far as to say she was "proud" of defending Harvey Weinstein and argued that "to put his hand on someone who's not interested" is, in her words, "not criminal." #FreeBritney
Journalist Ronan Farrow won a Pulitzer Prize in part for this article called "Harvey Weinstein's Army of Spies" where he reports Blair Berk helped to search through photos of Harvey with Rose McGowan to discredit her allegation, calling one of them “the money shot.” #FreeBritney
And here is an email exchange between Harvey Weinstein and Blair Berk in which they discussed framing Rose McGowan for an arrest warrant "just so there would be no fingerprints." #FreeBritney
Harvey's case is just one of MANY where Blair Berk tries to defend allegations of sexual assault and harassment. She was also involved in high-profile cases involving Darren Sharper, Cee-Lo Green, Mel Gibson and Ed Westick. #FreeBritney
In case that wasn't enough, Blair Berk defended a child predator named Maurice Wolin who was caught visiting an underage girl in a TV sting operation. #FreeBritney
There is literally video footage of what this man did that aired on MSNBC's "How To Catch a Predator" yet Blair Berk still chose to defend him. #FreeBritney
This man literally confessed to being a child predator, which is absolutely disgusting and indefensible, but Blair Berk was the one defending him court. #FreeBritney
Now that we know how TERRIBLE Blair Berk is, let's examine her role in Britney Spears' conservatorship. Blair first enters the picture in 2007 right after the head shaving incident. Britney checks herself out of rehab and apparently goes to Blair for help. #FreeBritney
Britney wrote a letter to her fans about this stint in rehab, saying some people in her life "made more of some issues than was necessary" and they "wanted to be in more control of my life than me." #FreeBritney
In this text message allegedly sent from Britney, she called out her manager Larry Rudolph saying, "it's really strange to have a manager send you to rehab whos the main one giving you the drinks." #FreeBritney
So back to Blair Berk, it is really strange that she was the one Britney went to for help during rehab. Yet court documents show that Blair TURNED on Britney and was helping her dad plan the conservatorship with Lou Taylor as early as January 2008. #FreeBritney
In fact, Blair Berk was THERE in the courtroom on the day Britney Spears was put under a conservatorship. "The parents sat with attorney Blair Berk throughout the hearing, smiling and embracing after the announcement." #FreeBritney
For those who don't know, Britney's father was given complete control of her finances and daily life decisions under a "conservatorship," usually meant for the elderly and severely disabled individuals who cannot take care of themselves. #FreeBritney
They petitioned the court to deny Britney the 5 day notice required under law. Britney had no opportunity to contest the conservatorship and it's ironic that Blair Berk oversaw this considering she argued heavily that Harvey Weinstein has a right to defend himself. #FreeBritney
Blair Berk was also there on February 4th, 2008 when the judge ejected an attorney of Britney's choice out of the courtroom claiming she didn't have the ability to hire him. She was given a court-appointed one instead who did basically nothing for a decade. #FreeBritney
Still in February, the New York Times puts out an article claiming Blair Berk was "overseeing this Humpty Dumpty-like effort" to take over Britney's fortune. #FreeBritney
Britney was convinced to accept what was happening to her under this conservatorship so she could regain visitation with her children. She actually attended a custody hearing in May 2008, where reporters noticed that "Blair Berk won’t let go of Britney." #FreeBritney
There is a photo of Britney with Blair Berk at a random polo match she attended in 2008 with her father and manager Larry Rudolph, who had just been rehired. #FreeBritney
In January of 2009, Britney Spears made one of the most important calls in her life to an attorney claiming that her father was threatening to take her kids away if she petitioned the court for a conservatorship. #FreeBritney
Britney left that voicemail for attorney Jon Eardley, and it didn't take long for Britney's father to file for a restraining order against him and Sam Lutfi, who's sister had to sneak a phone to Britney so she could make the call. #FreeBritney
Blair Berk testified as a witness in this trial and claimed Britney didn't know attorney Jon Eardley or want him as her lawyer, questioning the validity of that voicemail. She also said Britney wanted Sam Lutfi "jailed," but we have no hard evidence of that. #FreeBritney
Blair Berk helped get ANOTHER restraining order against Sam Lutfi in 2010 for Samuel Barth, which seemed to be a conflict of interest since she had previously testified against him. Blair's name was suspiciously omitted from the reporting in the media about this. #FreeBritney
The whole time Blair Berk was involved in Britney's conservatorship, she was also helping Lindsay Lohan with legal problems relating to her DUIs and sobriety. #FreeBritney
In fact, Blair Berk drove Lindsay Lohan to Promises rehab center, the same one Britney checked in and out of before visiting her in 2007. #FreeBritney
This is problematic because we know Britney's sketchy business manager Lou Taylor, who is reported to be the "mastermind" of Britney's conservatorship, attempted to put Lindsay Lohan under one too, allegedly. #FreeBritney
Luckily for Lindsay, her dad Michael Lohan spoke out against the plan to put her in a conservatorship and specifically called out Lou Taylor. #FreeBritney
In another interview, Michael Lohan says he reached out to none other than Blair Berk in order to schedule a meeting with Lou Taylor. He calls them part of the "Three Stooges," so it is clear that Blair and Lou know each other well. #FreeBritney
Blair Berk needs to be EXPOSED for defending Harvey Weinstein and other sexual predators and for her involvement in planning Britney's conservatorship and attempting one on Lindsay Lohan. This is absolutely disgusting behavior and it needs to be called out! #FreeBritney
Help us spread the word so we can expose the people responsible for Britney's conservatorship and #FreeBritney!
