2]media anoints you as an "expert" who is good on TV that they want to use you on any current social issue that is loosely connected with your true expertise. I stopped granting interviews[a significant financial sacrifice for a legal academic and criminal atty who rarely worked
3]affluent clients] after doing a GMA interview debating my former professor, Alan Dershowitz, about whether Clinton should be impeached for lying to a grand jury about a blow job. While I viewed this process as absurd, why should the public pay any attention to my perspective on
4] an issue outside my narrow lane of expertise? TV is an entertainment medium, including its news coverage, that never strays too far beyond the conventional wisdom of its audience.
