I know this was said in good faith, but the thing is that the Russians have been whining about "white genocide" in the Baltics for decades and the ones in the West Bank are no different.
They carry with them a sense of imperial entitlement. https://twitter.com/Ben_Cohen_823/status/1341453152038645761
Russians have settled in Central Asia, the Caucasus, and Baltics and after the Soviet collapse and conflicts like the Chechen War, brag and whine about how they weren't really settlers, were benevolent rulers, and were expelled by "racist ingrates".
There's reason to believe that the first generations of Israeli politicians (correctly) regarded the Soviet Union as a colonial empire and looked to it as inspiration, especially when the Labor Zionists were in charge.
If you look closely at old Israeli hasbara and both tsarist and Soviet apologetics, most of the tropes and language are the same.
Justifications of mass deportations, "civilizing" the nomadic races, socialist moral superiority, etc.
The Russian settlers in the West Bank look at Palestinians the same way they did Chechens, Uzbeks, and Balts back in the USSR. And it's apparently only in Israel where their ethnic entitlement over "churki" and "khachi" is respected.
