After noticing #Vijay actively taking part in Sri Lankan Tamils' issues, #Seeman had knocked on the door of Vijay with Pagalavan in 2010. His ulterior motive was to exploit Vijay's star power and impose his ideologies on people. To get Vijay's nod, he spoke highly of him.
But that didn't last long as Thalapathy Vijay turned down the offer after seeing through Seeman's inconsistency. Seeman deliberately involved himself in controversial issues and got arrested frequently during 2010-2011 to make his newly floated party famous.
Frustrated Seeman went on to say Vijay would regret for turning down Pagalavan and started approaching other actors like Jiiva. But he could not get his nod either. He gave a break to Pagalavan and started focussing on the bigger picture of politics.
He was aware of Vijay's interest in voicing for people on various social issues and how he has been troubled by government. He also knew Vijay had more youngsters as fans. He wanted to use all these for his political mileage. Not sure how he had hoped Vijay would join his party.
Seeman ensured sure he registered his support for Vijay whenever he faced problems such as Kaththi, Mersal, etc. You could find him randomly praise Vijay in his speeches. He partly succeeded in his pursuit when he attracted a number of Vijay fans with this flattery.
The fans could not see through the true colors of Mr. Opportunist. They did not know how Grade A opportunists like Seeman would dump you and hail a new person when their plans don't work. His Thambis spread rumors during 2016 TN Assembly Election that Vijay would be
backing, albeit silently, Seeman's Naam Tamilar Katchi party. The fan groups I was in, saw such posts ahead of election. This was purposely done to mislead Vijay fans. Seeman failed in earning Vijay's support in 2016 Assembly Election as well as in 2019 Indian General Election.
All these years Seeman was hoping that Vijay would either join his party or campaign for his party in election. SAC's political interest is not same as Vijay's. He miscalculated Vijay. In 2019, the snake spit venom when he imitated Vijay in the latter's video to Jayalalitha.
In the same speech, he changed his new superstar labeling to STR from Vijay because he was going to get Simbu's dates.
Below is the excerpt of his speech.
Seeman's statements, of late, indicate that he is now convinced he would not get Vijay's support for his party in 2020 Tamil Nadu Assembly Election. He was someone who maintained he would welcome Vijay in politics. He now says he would bash Vijay in politics.
It's a trait of opportunist to dump someone and appropriate a new person for your gains. No offense, but Suriya's involvement in social issues came to the fore only in the last 1-2 years, and Vijay has been silent on social issues only during the same period.
That doesn't dismiss several instances when Vijay was vocal on social issues. He was first actor to observe fast in solidarity with Sri Lankan Tamils in 2008. He organized the protest in Nagapattinam to condemn the killings and torture of innocent fishermen by the Sri Lanka.
In the same protest, Vijay had exhorted his fans to shoot off telegrams to the Prime Minister and Chief Minister on this issue. When most actors remained mum, Vijay promptly voiced against Jallikattu, NEET, Demonetization, Farmers' issue, Sterlite shootout, and several others.
Unlike any other politicians, Seeman uses actors in his speeches. He sees them like playing on a seesaw. When you push one end of the lever down, the other one goes up. Seeman puts one actor down to lap the other one up. He used Vijay often and sometimes Kamal to put Rajini down.
He used STR some time ago when he put Vijay down, and today he may have found a new shoulder in Suriya to ride on as he's in the good books of people after he has started raising voice for social issues lately. But it won't be long for this opportunist to turn his back on Suriya.
