In my personal opinion this country’s medical system is completely broken & it starts with taking advantage of well intentioned med students being conditioned to benefit insurance companies & big pharma over their patients. They’re taught to treat symptoms rather than the

root cause of the problem, because no one makes money in the medical system if no one is sick/reliant on medication. So essentially, we are teaching mainstream doctors the equivalent of teaching mechanics that if someone brings their car in with the oil light on, instead of

changing their oil, just clear the oil light on their dash so when the customer drives off they assume everything is good to go because nothing is alerting them otherwise. Meanwhile their engine is a day away from seizing from not having any oil, requiring them to eventually

either return to the mechanic & pay far more for a new engine than an oil change would have made the mechanic or forcing them to visit the car dealership to buy a new car that profits the car industry far more than what the mechanic would have made to simply change the oil.

Everyone wins, except the owner of the car.

So, the moral of the story is, if you are experiencing health issues, I cannot encourage you enough to advocate the fuck out of yourself, research, ask questions, do not blindly trust the system. &, yeah, chances are it’s going

to cost you more money in the beginning to find the root of the problem, because insurance companies don’t like to pay for oil changes & big pharma only wants to turn your dash lights off, but in the long run you save your engine from seizing. And if you’re lucky enough

to be someone who hasn’t had to learn this dirty little American secret, take a minute to genuinely be grateful for your luck & understand there are a hell of a lot of people in this country fighting a losing battle that you have the distinct privilege of knowing nothing about.
