Since Solskjær came in there's been a progression of language. Initially, it was ‘DNA’ in order to bring about a ‘culture’. Then it was about ‘challenges’ and how we needed to “get back to winning”. After that it was ‘trophies’ and now players are mentioning ‘titles’.
Mentality.
Mentality.
Solskjær's goal was always the last part — titles — but he had to emphasise that there were foundations that needed to be built first. Slowly but surely he has been doing that, under tough circumstances, and now he's slowly preparing this still-young squad for titles.
Progression isn't linear in football even if linear progression has occurred elsewhere. Clubs have different circumstances and Ole took the job during a highly difficult period for us. Yet, he has turned around a lot and that is praiseworthy.
