Being on the left isn't about civility and niceness - that is the space liberals pretend to occupy and the sooner you fucking grifters understand that the better it will be for everyone

Idgaf if I'm not nice about telling you not to be a piece of shit - but actual leftists can always tell when you're cosplaying for clout, we can tell when leftism is just an aesthetic for you

And its imperative to call it out, ESPECIALLY if said grifter has a platform - it serves several purposes

A) it corrects any misinformation being spread to their followers

B) It makes it clear that bigotry won't be tolerated in left spaces

The second one is just as important

That doesn't mean that there isn't room to grow, but people actually interested in growing practice self-reflection when confronted with how they're wrong, they don't double down and then cry about how mean the left is

I'm personally more interested in fostering a space where marginalized folks are centered, not one where they're constantly being told to take a back seat for the sake of civility
