I don't want to ruin the holiday vibes, but tbh I feel like mctwt (dttwt especially) needs to get better at handling issues and drama. so here's a much needed thread, read if you want.
1 - get off your high horse

obviously sexualizing people is gross, but 90% of the time they're not ACTUALLY being sexualized.

2 - ignore the trolls
it's simple, really. if you see someone tweeting about how much they hate us, LEAVE IT. most likely, no one in the fandom will be following that person, so if no one brings it up, it will REMAIN unnoticed.

3 - stop tweeting abt fake drama for interactions
this kind of goes with the first one, but I've seen so many tweets that are pointless. for example the "cancelling ≠educating" tweet. tbh, it's really fucking annoying after a while. no one is cancelling them, please just stop

4 - DON'T. SPEAK. FOR. CCS.
I see many people tweeting abt "oh dream wouldn't like this" or "george is not bla bla bla." just stop, it's so unnecessary. if the cc is uncomfortable with something they see, they'll TELL US.

5 - don't talk for minorities that you're not part of
this goes with the previous one. just like how you shouldn't speak for ccs, don't speak for other people either. if someone says something about a certain group that you're NOT part of, you have no right to be offended.

I may have missed things so let me know if I should add something else. but these are just the main points that come to mind :))
also to clear things up. I love dttwt/mctwt, y'all are an amazing community, and you're all fucking hilarious. but sometimes we're not the best at handling drama. we will get better as time passes, but for now, just keep these things in mind :))
