Bit late, but I want to get this out before games begin tomorrow. The final @GopherHockey D on Team USA is freshman Brock Faber. Since this is his 1st year, I don't have an infographic for him, but I will show shot charts for and against when him and Johnson are on the ice.
This has probably been the best D-pairing for the Gophers this season. Together they've done an excellent job at limiting scoring chances. When Johnson-Faber are on the ice, they dominate the xG share at 61.3% (4.86 xGF vs 3.07 xGA, even strength). #USAWJC #WorldJuniors

I'll show off some Faber highlights from this season, again all footage property of BTN and affiliated networks. First here he is leading the rush and breakout, generating a clean offensive zone entry.
Here's some solid defensive play from Faber, once he receives support from the winger in the slot he goes down to help pressure the puck in the corner. He stays with his man in good position, and eventually wins a 1-on-2 battle to chip the puck up to the winger to break out.
Finally, another defensive highlight. Once he realizes the cutting forward into the slot, he quickly gets his stick in the way to prevent a quick shot and forces him outside for a bad shot. At the end, he boxes out a man in front to give his goalie an easy view of the shot.
