He began his international cricket career at age 18, in a 1971 Test series against England. Imran Khan played until 1992, served as the team's Captain intermittently between 1982 and 1992.
In his Test Career, He played 88 Matches in which he scored 3807 runs at an average of 37.69 and had twenty four 50+ innings out of which 6 were tons. Looking towards his bowling stats, He took 362 Wickets at an average of 22.8 taking 23 Five Wicket hauls and 17 Four Wicket Hauls
He captained Pakistan in 48 of those tests. Under Imran Khan, Pakistan won 14 and drew 26 of those tests at a 1.75 W/L ratio, Furthermore Pakistan Won Overseas Tests Series in India, England under him.
In his ODI Career, He played 175 Matches in which he scored 3709 Runs at an Average of 33.4 and had twenty 50+ innings Out of which only one was a ton. He also took 182 wickets at an average of 26.6, He took three 4 wicket hauls and just the one 5 wicket haul.
He was also the man of the match 13 times in his ODI career. While he was captain, Pakistan played 139 ODIs, Winning 75 and losing 59. 5 were tied, But his biggest achievement in ODI cricket was leading Pakistan to their first and only World Cup.
As Seen by his Stats, Imran Khan was a Brilliant Cricketer, He was Perfect all round. Throughout his Career his bowling was his specialty, His beautiful bowling action goes without saying, He shifted his own batting order constantly according to the need of the team as he was a
proper team man. Towards the end of his career his batting became more of his speciality, His last innings in ODIs was possibly his best, which was his gritty knock of 72 in the World Cup Final of 92.
Imran, not only one of the best cricketers the world has seen but also the one of the greatest captains the world has seen. His leadership qualities were second to none, He would always lead from the front, His confidence in his players was immense. The team would look up to him,
they were friendly with him but also feared him. He was an extremely intelligent Cricketer and would make Great and quick decisions on the field.
