#ChristmasEve2020 thread – it's been a tumultuous year. 52 years ago, 1968, was also a terrible year. But, on #ChristmasEve, #Apollo8 astronauts Frank Borman, Jim Lovell, and Bill Anders saved the year with a wonderful message from lunar orbit: (1/12)
Bill Anders:

"We are now approaching lunar sunrise, and for all the people back on Earth, the crew of #Apollo8 has a message that we would like to send to you." (2/12)

All 3 men—Time's "of the year" for 1968—are still with us. Borman & Lovell are 92 years old. Anders is 87.

On this #ChristmasEve2020, I wish all my followers a blessed #Christmas , and may a little wonder from #Apollo8 52 years ago shine on us all. #ChristmasEve (12/end)
