It is so easy to sound authoritative with negativity.

Often, these people really are experts and totally right. World is in constant flux of negative disposition.

But it is a dangerous presumption to have that these are always the same thing.

For years I just never remember hearing positive outlooks about security or operations, so I try really hard to be a voice of possibility.

That hope would have changed my life. I cried in my car on lunch breaks thinking these things were immutable or reducible to my failure.

Maybe think about what your words mean to those who see you as a beacon of expertise.
