I don't fear China as much as most fellow freedom lovers do. Not because they aren't enemies of freedom (they are). But
1) they are far less dangerous than Nazi/fascism and then USSR ever were
2) their policies are less insane than previous freedom killers
3) they can't win /
Because demography is definitely not on their side, while it is for India.
And we actually gain from their existence currently in an aggregate sense (yes I think we do). For example they keep in check insane international IP laws and that is *huge*. Same was not true for USSR/2
So what should we fear? Western domestic enemies of freedom that use China as an excuse to kill our freedom. Yes, China pushed lockdowns to the west: but it only managed to do so because we have enemies of freedom, by the legion, in our countries.
So my assessment is that we have to fear two things more than China

1) a botched up India rise (ie they go totalitarian) would scare the hell out of me

2) the omnipresent legions of freedom haters we have at home
A note came to mind: I am specifically speaking as an European.

For s Koreans or Aussies, and OFC for Taiwanese people, China is number 1 threat on the radar and only the Japanese one century ago came close to that.
