One reason that BC Hydro hid its overdue financial report until Christmas was nigh:

They sold less electricity to BC residential, commercial and industrial consumers in the 6 months ended Sep 30 2020 than in the same 6 months in every year since 2002.

Since 2002!
Another reason is that the average unit price BC Hydro paid IPPs in six months ended Sep 2020 was 11.4% higher than in the six months ended Sep 2019.

11.4% price rise in a single year!
Consumption down, BC Hydro dumping water without generating electricity but IPPs walked away with tens of millions of dollars more in Q1 and Q2 this fiscal year than last.
