NBA BETTING TWEETSTORM FOR CHRISTMAS DAY!

Fun ones! Christmas morning games are often UGLY, fast paced but with a ton of turnovers and missed shots. Teams usually wake up by the 2nd half.
Pelicans @ Heat (-5) (223.5)

The question here is whether the Heat can play themselves into NBA game shape in just one game (a loss) at Orlando. I'm inclined to say they can't, but they also need wins in a crowded "middle pack" of eastern playoff teams.
My lean is to New Orleans, but they're also ripe for a letdown off a big opening night win.

Lean to Under and Pels.
Warriors @ Bucks (-10) (232)

The Warriors aren't as bad as they looked in game 1, but without Draymond I have trouble betting on them in almost any spot. He's their anchor on both ends. I also can't advocate laying 10 points in an NBA game, so this is probably a pass.
Nets (-3) @ Celtics (227.5)

Brooklyn is not nearly as good as they looked in game 1, and I'd expect the adrenaline to wear off a bit in game 2. Guys coming back from injury tend to overdo it on the first go and then the aches/rust come in later. Meanwhile...
Boston's injuries and losses will catch up with them, but not necessarily right out of the chute. Lean to Celtics on the side, and the total is one to watch to see how Brooklyn wants to play when they go against a better tier of opponent than what they saw on opening night.
Mavs @ Lakers (-6) (227.5)

I lean to the Mavs in this one with some decisiveness. Lakers looked apathetic in game 1 and I have no reason to believe 2 days off will magically get them into regular season game shape.

Mavs are short-handed, but Luka's gonna go nuts to keep...
... this one within striking distance. I wish we could get 6.5 or 7 in case of late FTs, but I think Lakers ultimately win a tight one.

Lean to Mavs and the Over.
Clippers (-2.5) @ Nuggets (224.5)

The revenge angle is fresh on everyone's mind, and that alone is sometimes enough to get me to go small on a team.

I am, however, a bit nervous about a Clips letdown off their opening night drubbing of the Lakers.....
... might still go super small on Clips, but wouldn't surprise me at all to see them over-relax after beating LAL. And the Nuggets already had their wake-up call in that OT loss to Sacramento.

Just be a bit careful here is all I'm saying. Sometimes revenge isn't the whole story.
I'll have my top plays in our @HoopBallGaming WagerPass for tomorrow's slate but this was my thought process going into the final buzzer.

Hope you enjoyed!
