people really need to understand that both asexual and aromantic are SPECTRUMS. there is no clear-cut way to be asexual or aromantic. ykw i'm gonna make this a thread

asexual just means little to no sexual attraction. some asexual people experience zero sexual attraction and do not wish to do anything sexual, with other people or by themself. some asexual people experience zero sexual attraction yet still enjoy sex and/or masturbation

some asexual people can only experience sexual attraction under very specific circumstances, such as only being able to become sexually attracted to someone after forming a very close bond with them emotionally (demisexual)

every asexual person is different and may experience their asexuality in ways that you don't understand, but guess what? you don't HAVE to understand it for it to still be a valid experience

aromantic is little to no romantic attraction. some aromantic people may experience absolutely zero romantic attraction, and may have no desire to be in any kind of romantic relationship or do anything with anyone that is considered romantic

some aromantic people may not experience romantic attraction but may still desire to do things that are romantic such as going on dinner dates, or kissing, etc.

some aromantic people can only experience romantic attraction under specific circumstances such as only being able++

to experience romantic attraction to someone after they've formed a very close emotional bond with that person (demiromantic)

there are also MANY other asexual and aromantic labels to describe different ace and aro experiences and attractions and desires for those kinds of relationships, etc. asexual and aromantic are both such complex spectrums

no ace or aro person is exactly the same as another, and that needs to be respected. stop assuming that every ace and aro person is the same as another person of the same identity. there are so many different ways to be ace or aro

and even if you don't understand some identities of the ace or aro spectrums, that's fine, but you still need to understand that even if you don't fully get a certain label, or even if you don't get it at ALL, that doesn't make that identity any less valid
