A thread: Why Texas is the best state in the US

1. It has something for everyone! It is very unlikely to not be able to find a town that has your political views, preference of living style, people with similar hobbies etc. you like the feeling of a liberal city life? Try Austin. You want a conservative farm town? Try Centex

2. The prices are great! Housing is really solid and there’s some great options. Plus, if you want acreage, there’s a lot of it in Texas.

3. It’s not all Cowboys and desert. There’s plenty of different climates since Texas is a huge state! Granted it does get hot in the summer pretty much everywhere, but if you want colder winters, you can move up into the Panhandle.

4. Texas has a rich history. How many other states can say that they were once there own country? Remember the Alamo.

5. So many great schooling options. Texas has a plethora of schools to choose from with each school being different in terms of student body size, typical college life, etc. UT, A&M, Rice, Baylor, TCU, UNT, Texas State, Houston....

6. State pride! Everyone knows Texans are obsessed with their state and for good reason. For kids that grew up in Texas, you probably remember saying the texas pledge along with the American one before school began.

End of thread: I know this may get some hate bc of negative stereotypes associated with Texas but people fail to realize that with Texas’ size, there really is a place for everyone to fit in! Thank you for viewing and Yeehaw! (p.s. very few people have funky Texas accents)
