The grouping here is obv bad and that goes without question, so I’ll leave that be. But the thing is— the Joe Rogans and other mid-tier “gateway idea” ppl are just that: gates. If you stop at watching JR or Shapiro and think “this is all there is to it” then like yeah, not ideal
But for a lot of people, the “midwife” level is where they start. It’s where I started, and I never would’ve found this side of Twitter (which I find deeply enriching) w/o a friend of mine, and he roundabout got here via Rogan and JBP. I owe the “midwit” shit a lot, actually
Not to mention I think it’s just not a good look to turn our noses up at anything until we’ve appropriately engaged w/ it, or at least I try not to (this is coincidentally how I justify my hatefollows, as a way of keeping my ideas/thinking sharp by engaging with counterarguments)
