Today, more than any other day, my thoughts center on those in the LGTBQ community that have been abandoned by their families for the choice to be their authentic self.
I know that the holidays are often a reminder of what has been lost and the sadness can be overwhelming...

Please remember that YOU ARE NOT ALONE.
Please remember the joy & pride you get from showcasing your authenticity and how at peace you feel internally. This is the gift we give ourselves every day of our life and it is THE GREATEST GIFT OF ALL.
You are special. You are true.

This year is especially tough. The LGTBQ community is exactly that, a community. We use each other to lift ourselves up when we can't find the strength inside. We support and love each other unconditionally for the courage and determination each one of us shows every day.
Being cut off from our community, our friends, our family, is hard for everyone, but especially hard for those who have dared to be true and lost so much
I am here. I will always be here. YOU WILL NEVER BE ALONE as long as I am here
You may know me. You may not. Doesn't matter!

I implore you to reach out if you are feeling sad or alone. I am here for you. Msg me. DM me. We can chat, we can Skype, we can Google hang. Whatever you need.
I'll warn you though. I'm pretty chatty and I may talk your ear off!
Remember, there is no shame in reaching out.

For those of you who love and care for your LGTBQ friends please check in on them. They may seem fine, they may tell you they are fine, but they may not be
If you know someone who is struggling please pass this along to them. If they need to talk to someone who gets it I'm here

Lastly, this goes for everyone...not just those in the LGTBQ community.
Please remember your friends who have no family this year. It's a struggle most years and this year it is so much worse.
We are all valid. We all deserve love and acceptance. We all deserve happiness.

To the parents of Trans and LGTBQ children:
Please, just love them. The strength it takes to be authentic is something to admire, not fear.
If you are unsure about how tough their life will be because they are different, reach out to me. Let's talk. I want to help you if I can

Don't let this time of year dim your shine. If you need a recharge I will be here.
Stay safe.
All the love.
Allie.
