The Iran hostage crisis loomed constantly in the background when I was a kid (9-10 y/o), all 444 days of it. Never considered myself pro-Iran but neither do I consider myself anti-Iran (and I've fought Iranian-backed militias in Iraq). Ginning-up a conflict with Iran right now...
..during the last weeks of our impeached and scandal-plagued lamest of lame duck presidencies, and *DURING* an ongoing attack by Russian state intelligence services, is a most fraudulent and dangerous course of action. The US is currently in a state of undeclared war w/ Russia...
..and going kinetic against any other state actor (such as Iran) at a time when we should be, at a minimum, able to demonstrate a credible threat against Russia and thus possibly avoid a hot war with same, is criminally negligent and a recipe for epic failure. Don't fall for it.
