Seeing the responses to Akin Alabi's tweet concerning the rehabilitated primary health centre is so instructive.

Firstly, many people still do not understand the responsibility of a lawmaker or have knowledge of how projects are "sponsored" in Nigeria.
Secondly, many of us are so idealistic about solving Nigeria's issues that we simply want to copy what we see abroad and paste it back home without appreciating the need to take cognizance of how local context impact implementation of otherwise brilliant ideas.
Thirdly, many of us simply do not understand the health sector. We don't quite get what primary healthcare is or what primary healthcare centres are about. From the TL, many of us conflate PHCs with hospitals and other types of secondary and tertiary healthcare facilities.
There's room and a desperate need for learning.
