The most depressing development in recent weeks has been watching @jvplive fall into the obvious Zionist propaganda trap set by @JewishCurrents and @PeterBeinart in which they conflate Zionism with Judaism 1/
2/ We saw this coming when big chunks of the failing @jdforward went to JC after Ungar Sargon's racist and self-destructive smear of Ilhan Omar. Jewish Currents tokenizes Palestinians, while concurrently running pieces that trumpet insidious Zionist propaganda talking points.
3/ these include every single piece published by Beinart, and recently @joshualeifer in distorted piece on the Jeremy Corbyn affair. Cc @richards1052

6/ Beinart’s latest piece is precisely such an attempt, which refrains from implicating the inherent white supremacist nature of Zionism, instead presenting a decontextualized and long winded historical survey that regurgitates Netanyahu’s rhetoric re “the Jewish state”
7/ it also leaves out the likes of Stokley Carmichael and The Black Panther Party, who were fierce advocates for Palestinians

10/ I’m gonna keep harping on this until it’s addressed. So far JVP and Beinart (unsurprising) have remained cowardly silent, while posing as vanguards of the “Jewish left”, whatever that means
