In honor of the holidays, I wanted to share a few White House Christmas moments, as we could all use some extra cheer this year. Naturally they include doggos (including some pups welcoming the National Tree! c/o @PeteSouza).
Let's start with Barney and Miss Beazley, the Bush's Scottish Terriers. Quite festive, no? (picture: @TheBushCenter)
The Kennedys had a whole slew of puppers, because the more the merrier! Generally, my life principle when it comes to dogs. (photo: @JFKLibrary)
Johnson was known for his beloved Yuki, his scraggly mutt. You probably know them for their howling photo, but no Christmas celebration was complete without Yuki! ( @LBJLibrary)
Let's be honest, Millie was the star of the show. Always. ( @BushFdn)
Ok Socks isn't a dog, but he's kind of an honorary pooch, I think. ( @WJCLibrary)
And last, but not least, Bo in a snow storm. Here's hoping for a white Christmas this year and I'm looking forward to dogs in the White House next year. Because really, what's the point of having that lawn if you don't have a dog to enjoy it? (c/o: @PeteSouza)
And finally, my sweet pup tolerating our matching jammies (look at that side eye!). Happy holidays to you all. Hoping for a better 2021 for everyone.
